Man's Barbecue Chicken

Kind of a sexist title, but will be enjoyed by both sexes, especially on Superbowl Sunday

  1. 2 Teaspoons Salt
  2. 1/4 Teaspoon Pepper
  3. 1/4 Teaspoon Red Pepper
  4. 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  5. 3 Tablespoons Margarine, melted
  6. 1/4 Teaspoon Dry Mustard
  7. 1 Bay Leaf
  8. 1 1/2 Cups Tomato Juice
  9. 4 Tablespoons Worchestshire Sauce
  10. 3/4 Cup Cider Vinegar
  11. 3 Cloves Garlic, minced
  12. 3 Medium Onions, sliced 1/4 inch thick
  13. 1 Whole Chicken, cut into pieces (or 6 bone-in breasts)
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix all ingredients except onions and chicken in a sauce pan. Heat to boiling and reduce to simmer for 10 minutes. Arrange chicken, skin side down, on top of 1/2 of the onions placed on a shallow baking sheet. Arrange the remaining onions on top of the chicken. Pour sauce over chicken and onions. Bake at 400 degrees for 1/2 hour, turn chicken and bake for an additional 45 minutes or until chicken is done.
